Andrew Steiner OAM | Trustee and Educator

Andrew Steiner OAM is a Holocaust survivor, born in Budapest in 1933 and survived the Shoah in hiding. Andrew has completed studies at the University of Adelaide in Modern European History, Political Science, English and Art majoring in sculpture. Andrew is a past President of the South Australian Royal Society of Arts and is featured within the Eminent Australians collection at the National and State Libraries. For the past 26 years, Andrew has been teaching about the Holocaust at South Australian secondary schools and tertiary institutions. In 2017 Andrew was honoured with the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his contribution to Art and History. 2010 Human Rights Awards National Finalist. He is a member of Beit Shalom Synagogue.

Nicola Zuckerman | Trustee and Crown Prosecutor

Nicola Zuckerman has a Bachelor of Law with Honours obtained from the University of Adelaide. She also has a Bachelor of Arts, and an Honours Degree in History. For the past seven years, Nicola has worked as a lawyer for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (SA). Nicola is also a member of Beit Shalom Synagogue and since 2015 has been a member of its Board of Management.

Ron Peisach | Treasurer

Ron Peisach has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of ANZCA and CICM. Ron has had a long career (now retired) as a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine and Director of Intensive Care, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (1981 – 2007). Ron is a member of Beit Shalom Synagogue.

Jill Peisach | Secretary

Jill Peisach has a Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Education and Master of Nursing (Women’s Health). Now retired,   Jill was a Registered Nurse specialising in Intensive Care then a Lecturer in Nursing at the University of South Australia 1988- 2008. Jill is a member of Beit Shalom Synagogue.

Sue Drenth | Project Manager

Sue Drenth has a Diploma in Management (Community Services) from Swinburne University, Victoria, a Certificate in Frontline Management – Management Excellence from OzTrain SA and has completed studies at Adelaide University  in Entrepreneurial Models for the Community Service sector. For the past 30 years, Sue has worked in community services both at operational and senior management level in the not for profit sector and now works as a consultant.
