Our doors are open – help us keep it that way!
The Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Andrew Steiner Education Centre (AHMSEC) needs your continued support to inspire South Australians to stand up against racism, and to create a fairer and compassionate world.
Since opening our doors, we have been very busy educating for a fair future through the deep stories of the Holocaust. We offer programs that instil human rights and develop ethical and social awareness among young people and the wider community. AHMSEC is kindly supported by foundations, the SA Government, and by private donations. It has received major support for capital expansion from the Federal Government – but these funds may only be applied to building activity, not operations.
Our November 2020 launch coincided with unforeseen challenges generated by the worst pandemic of modern times. Despite this, we have welcomed over 1500 visitors. We have averaged 40 school students per day since March 2021. We have also hosted over 100 tertiary education students in a five-week period. These young people have absorbed an abiding message of compassion and fairness at a time when intolerance, and outright racism and antisemitism, are on the rise globally.
AHMSEC relies heavily on the generosity of donors to achieve its mission. Supporting us at this time will ensure that we can sustain our vital work.
All donations help us to make a difference.
AHMSEC is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
